Here are represented pages from a german war plane identification booklet. It is the 1943 edition, issued mainly for civilians ("Volksgenossen in der Heimat" ;) ). The original format is DIN A6. There are also chapters on national markings, behaviour in case of bombings etc. The pictures below show how soviet war planes were described.
